1199SEIU will be hosting an all day service and help center, today through Tuesday at their offices at 150 Mount Vernon Street in Dorchester. Hours and directions are listed below.
Any member of the Boston Haitian community is welcome. The center will have free phones, computers with internet, child care, social workers, grief counselors, and other professionals to help anyone in need of assistance during this crisis. For more information visit

In Boston, 1199SEIU needs bi-lingual (English/Haitian Creole) volunteers at their service and help center. If you can volunteer anytime between 9am and 9pm, today through Saturday, please call

Donating:
The best way to help right now is to donate money to a credible relief organization. Visit www.interaction.org to get a list of credible organizations providing relief. Others include

• Visit any Boston Bank of America branch to make a donation to the Haitian Family Relief Fund. This is a special account set up in partnership with the City of Boston.
What your local is doing:
SEIU 615 is working with 1199SEIU to provide direct assistance to all members of the Boston Haitian community. Right now we are directing all members in need of help locating family members to their offices at 150 Mount Vernon Street, where they are hosting an all day service center.
We will also be convening a meeting for all members of SEIU 615 within the coming week. For any information regarding what your local is doing, please call

1199SEIU Service Center hours are:
Saturday: 9am to 9pm
Sunday: 12pm to 5pm
Monday and Tuesday: 9am to 5pm
Directions to 1199SEIU, 150 Mount Vernon Street From the South:
• Take 93 North to Exit 14/Morrisey Boulevard (JFK Library/UMass, Boston).
• Stay heading north on Morrissey Boulevard toward Dorchester/South Boston.
• Pass UMass, Boston on your right, and stay straight.
• As the road splits, stay to the right.
• You will pass Boston College High School on your right, and then the Sovereign Bank building also on your right.
• At the light next to the Sovereign Bank building, take a right onto Mount Vernon Street.
• Take an immediate left into the driveway for the Doubletree Hotel, then another left into the parking lot for the Bayside Office Center.
• Parking is available in any of the surrounding lots.
Directions From the North:
• Take 93 South to Exit 15,Columbia Road/JFK/UMass
• Take a left off the exit ramp and proceed to a rotary. You will pass the JFK/UMass T stop on your right.
• Enter the rotary and take your second right off the rotary, turning right immediately before a stop light.
• Proceed down a small hill to a stop light.
• At the stop light, Sovereign Bank building will be straight ahead. Turn left onto Mount Vernon Street.
• Take an immediate left into the driveway for the Doubletree Hotel, then another left into the parking lot for the Bayside Office Center.
• Parking is available in any of the surrounding lots.
Directions From the West:
• Take Mass Pike to the end and get on 93 South.
• Follow “From the North” directions above.
Directions By Public Transportation:
• Take the T (or a bus) to the JFK/UMass T stop on the Red Line.
• When you exit the station, walk across the pedestrian bridge toward all the bus stops.
• Continue walking straight ahead, under the highway overpass.
• Directly ahead of you are two office buildings—the Sovereign Bank building will be on your right, and the Bayside Office Center (Corcoran Jennison Building/Bank of America) will be on your left.
• MetroLacrosse is located on the first floor of the Bayside Office Center, adjacent to the Doubletree Hotel.
